Azzuro Resources Reports Significant Copper-Gold Discoveries in Mongolia

Azzuro Resources PLC has announced the final assay results from its 2026 drilling program at the Red Hill Copper Gold Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) Project in Mongolia. The findings confirm significant copper-gold mineralisation over a substantial area, marking a pivotal moment for the company’s exploration efforts.

The drilling program, which included drillholes MU2609, MU2610, MU2610A, and MU2611, has revealed high-grade mineralisation in both the copper-rich massive sulphide and shallow gold zones. These results not only confirm the continuity of known mineralisation but also identify new areas of interest.

Key Discoveries from the Drilling Program

The assay results have highlighted several key discoveries. Drillhole MU2610A confirmed the continuity of massive sulphide mineralisation up-dip of MU25011, with notable intercepts including 5.0m @ 4.92% Cu, 0.94g/t Au, and 5.05g/t Ag from 142.5m. This includes a high-grade interval of 2.0m @ 11.95% Cu, 1.99g/t Au, and 11.80g/t Ag from 143.9m.

Additionally, drillhole MU2609 intersected a new zone of high-grade copper mineralisation north of the shallow gold mineralisation corridor, with 3.0m @ 2.40% Cu from 44.0m. Shallow gold mineralisation was also confirmed in MU2609, with 10.8m @ 0.45g/t Au and 10.72g/t Ag from 7.0m, including 3.0m @ 0.84g/t Au and 9.20g/t Ag from 12.6m.

Expanding the Exploration Target

The Red Hill Exploration Target, estimated under the JORC Code 2012 Edition ranges from 15Mt to 30Mt at grades of 0.71% to 0.9% Cu and 0.26g/t to 0.4g/t Au at a 0.2% Cu cut-off. The current findings suggest that the mineralisation extends beyond the initial target areas, indicating potential for further expansion.

Gan-Ochir Zunduisuren, Managing Director of Azzuro Resources PLC, expressed enthusiasm about the results: “We have completed this final batch of assays on a high note. Not only have we confirmed mineralisation in the copper-rich massive sulphide and shallow gold zones, we have also identified additional mineralised areas for copper exploration to the north of previously identified mineralisation and a new area with gold.”

A new phase of drilling has commenced, focusing initially on the shallow gold zone, an area not included in the maiden JORC exploration target estimate. The company is also conducting a DHEM survey across Red Hill to integrate data and finalise high-impact copper-gold drillholes testing the exploration target as part of the current program.

With these promising results, Azzuro Resources is well-positioned to advance its exploration efforts at the Red Hill Project, potentially unlocking significant value for investors and stakeholders.
