The 2024 Budget Law confirmed the increase of 30 euros in the Single Universal Child Allowance, not only for children with both parents with working income, but also for orphans with only one working parent. This measure, introduced with the Labor Decree converted into law in 2023, was confirmed in 2024 and recognizes an increase in amounts for a maximum of 5 years from the event and for those with an ISEE equal to or less than 15,000 euros.
Subsequently, the amount begins to fall.

What is the Increase in the Single Child Allowance for a Parent’s Orphans
The increase in the single universal allowance for the children of a deceased parent was introduced with the Labor Decree converted into law in 2023 and confirmed by the 2024 Budget Law. The maximum increase is 30 euros per month for each minor child, applicable to families with an ISEE of up to 15,000 euros, in which one of the parents is deceased and the other is a worker. The amount gradually scales up to higher ISEE levels

Who is entitled to
The increases in the single universal allowance are due to families composed of only one working parent due to the death of the other parent. This increase is valid for a maximum of 5 years after death

How Increases Work
The increase of 30 euros is added to the single allowance for each minor child present in families where one of the parents has died and the other is a worker. This figure is gradually reduced for higher ISEE until it is canceled for an ISEE equal to or greater than 40,000 euros. The measure is valid for a maximum of 5 years from the event.
When do the new increases arrive
The increases in the universal child allowance for a parent’s orphans started on 1 June 2023 and are confirmed in 2024. For single-parent families due to the death of the other parent, the increase is recognized without arrears, starting from the date of death and for a maximum of 5 years. The INPS automatically takes over the surviving parent’s application and recognizes the
increase.
