District Metals reports $10 million private placement and strong balance sheet

District Metals Corp. (TSXV: DMX, OTC: DMXCF) disclosed its financial performance for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The company closed the period with CAD $16.187 million in cash and cash equivalents, a figure that reflects both operational cash flow and recent financing activities.

Balance sheet and new financing

On May 12, 2026 the firm completed a non-brokered private placement that raised CAD $10 million under the Listed Issuer Financing Exemption. The infusion bolstered the balance sheet, providing additional liquidity to fund exploration, permitting work and corporate overhead. Viken Deposit PEA highlights

In a technical report filed on July 17, 2026 (effective June 26, 2026), the company presented a Preliminary Economic Assessment for its flagship Viken Property in Jämtland County, Sweden. The study, prepared in accordance with NI 43-101 and approved by President and CEO Garrett Ainsworth, P.Geo projects an after-tax NPV8% of US$2.88 billion an internal rate of return of 45.9 % and a payback period of only 2.1 years. Capital expenditure is estimated at US$876 million generating an average after-tax free cash flow of US$531 million per year over a 13-year mine life.
