ETH, ADA and SOL are Blockchain Layer-1 protocols, where ETH was a dominant player before. However, ADA has outperformed ETH in recent days, given improvements in its protocol. In addition, the price of Cardano has increased before the Vasil hard fork which should bring huge performance.
On the other hand, SOL which has had the advantage of a much more diverse ecosystem, including NFTs, has faltered several times due to security breaches and other technical issues.
This opened the door for Cardano to take the initiative. Until ETH starts to recover its TVL, Cardano could have an advantage, at least as far as price movement is concerned.
