The INPS has clarified who must apply for the Single Check in 2024. Those who already received the single allowance for dependent children will not have to apply, since the subsidy will be paid automatically. The others will have to apply to the INPS

Even in the case of automatic renewal, it is necessary to submit the new DSU for 2024 with an update to the ISEE to take advantage of the full amount and communicate any changes to the information previously entered in the application.
Who must submit the Universal Single Check 2024 application
Those who already received the single allowance do not have to submit any applications for 2024, but they will automatically receive child benefit from the 7th month of pregnancy to the 21st year of age. INPS, with Message no. 15 of January 2, 2024, specified the burdens on the beneficiaries, including the presentation of the updated DSU with ISEE 2024 and the communication of
any changes.
Instead, those who:
- They never received the single check.
- They submitted an application that has not been accepted or is no longer active (application ‘Rejected’, ‘Expired’, ‘Renounced’ or ‘Revoked’).
When to apply for the Single Check
The application for the universal single allowance 2024 can be submitted from the 7th month of pregnancy as soon as you meet the necessary requirements. Those who have an inactive or unaccepted application can submit a request at any time in 2024

How to apply for a Single Check
The application for the single allowance for dependent children 2024 must be forwarded to the INPS through the following channels:
- INPS web portal: using the service available on the home page of the INPS website, if you have a SPID, Electronic Identity Card (CIE) or National Service Card (CNS).
- INPS Integrated Contact Center: by calling the toll-free number 803.164 (free from a landline) or the number 06 164.164 (from a paid mobile network).
- Patronage Institutes: using the services offered free of charge by the patronages.
- INPS Mobile app.
As early as last September, on the occasion of the birth of a child, the INPS sends an e-mail communication to parents to apply or supplement the benefit already received for other dependent children.
When do the 2024 Single Check payments arrive
The INPS has clarified that payments for the 2024 single check are made every month with a credit scheduled in the last week of the month following the submission of the application. Here are the payment dates from July to December 2024:
- 17, 18, 19 July 2024
- 16, 19, 20 August 2024
- 17, 18, 19 September 2024
- 16, 17, 18 October 2024
- 18, 19, 20 November 2024

Notice of change of conditions
Even in the case of automatic renewal, applicants must report any changes to the information previously entered in the AUU application and submit an updated DSU if necessary. Examples of variations include:
- Birth of children.
- Change in the child’s disability status.
- Changes in school attendance or training for adult children (18-21 years old).
- Changes related to parental separation or marriage.
- Changes in payment methods.
Why did the Single Check decrease in March 2024
The single check decreased for some in March 2024 because, having not submitted the updated ISEE or having undergone changes in family conditions, they are no longer entitled to AUU increases. Without the updated ISEE, you receive only the basic amount

How to present ISEE for Single Check
Both those who must submit a new application and those who benefit from automatic renewal must submit the ISEE by filling out the DSU for 2024. The absence of the new DSU involves the calculation of the single check based on the minimum amounts. By submitting the DSU by June 30, 2024, the amounts will be adjusted retroactively
as of March 2024.
When does the application for the 2024 Single Check expire
There is no deadline for applying for the AUU in 2024. However, to adjust the amount according to the correct ISEE 2024 certificate, the new DSU must be submitted by 30 June 2024 to obtain the arrears

The INPS checks applications for a Single Universal Check, verifying ISEE, income and declarations. The application may be ‘accepted’ or ‘rejected’ for lack of requirements, ‘suspended’ or ‘revoked’ for false statements, or ‘lapsed’ if the requirements are not met.
