The Ministry of Labor has set the value of the INAIL 2024 insolvency allowance at 305.78 euros. The allowance is intended for disabled people due to an accident or occupational illness who do not benefit from targeted placement, provided that they
meet certain requirements.

What is the INAIL 2024 Incollocability Check

The unplaceability allowance is an economic benefit provided by INAIL to workers with an income due to an occupational illness or accident that are difficult to place in the labor market. These workers cannot benefit from the mandatory recruitment of targeted employment as per law 68 of 1999 (from which the term ‘unplaceability’ derives
).

The check is intended for workers who have been ascertained the loss of all work capacity or who, due to the type or severity of the impairment, may constitute a risk for themselves, for others or for the safety of the plants. Established by the decree of the President of the Republic of 30 June 1965, n. 1124 (article 180), the check in 2024 amounted to 305.78
euros per month.

Who is entitled to the Incollocability Check

Disabled persons not older than 65 years of age due to an accident or occupational illness are entitled to the severance allowance who:

  • We are the holders of the INAIL pension.
  • They are unable to take advantage of compulsory recruitment with targeted placement.

In addition, they must meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • Disability not lower than 34%, recognized by INAIL according to the tables attached to the Consolidated Text (Presidential Decree 1124 of 1965) for accidents at work that occurred or occupational diseases reported up to 31 December 2006.
  • Degree of impairment of psychophysical integrity or biological damage greater than 20%, recognized according to the tables set out in the Ministerial Decree of 12 July 2000 for injuries that occurred and for occupational diseases reported as of 1 January 2007.

How the INAIL 2024 Incollocability Check works

The unplaceability allowance is an economic benefit that replaces support in targeted placement, guaranteeing a monetary contribution. It is obtained “on demand” or it can be recognized on the advice of the INAIL doctor following an assessment of permanent damage
.

It is granted for a period not less than 2 years nor longer than 4. However, it is possible to obtain the renewal for a total total of 8 years (even if not consecutive). Requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the competent INAIL office. The check is paid monthly by INAIL and starts from the first day of the month following the date of acceptance of the application

How does the INAIL Check arrive

The amount of the INAIL irrevocability check can arrive through:

  • Credit to a bank or postal account.
  • Credit on a bank or postal deposit book.
  • Credit on a prepaid card with an IBAN code.
  • Cash payment at a bank or post office for amounts not exceeding 1,000 euros.

The beneficiary must specify the chosen payment method to the INAIL office and provide the data useful for the monthly credit.

How much does it amount to

The INAIL 2024 irreplaceability check amounts to 305.78 euros. The amount was revalued based on the change recorded by ISTAT in the consumer price index for families of workers and employees that occurred between 2022 and 2023, equal to 5.4%. The measure is exempt from personal income tax and does not contribute to income formation

How to Apply for the INAIL 2024 Incollocability Check

In order to apply for the non-placeability check, the invalid must fill out the request form available at the INAIL office responsible for their home. The question can be asked:

  • In person, presenting it at the counter of the INAIL branch.
  • By post, using regular mail or via certified electronic mail (certified e-mail).

The form must be completed with personal data, a detailed description of the disability and a photocopy of the identity document. Extra documentation or specific certifications may be required

When Recognized by a Doctor

The unplaceability check can also be recognized by the INAIL doctor when the permanent damage is ascertained. During the medico-legal examination, the documentation is analyzed and the worker’s physical condition evaluated. If the doctor certifies permanent damage that prevents reintegration into work, he may recognize the check

How long does the Incollocability Check last

The INAIL unplaceability allowance is paid up to the age of 65, unless there are changes in the condition of unplaceability.
