How to delete your Binance account
To delete your Binance account, you need to go to your security settings and click “Disable Account”.
Then, select “Delete this account”, enter your email or phone number and click “Confirm to Delete”.
After clicking “Confirm to Delete”, your Binance account will be deleted.
If your account doesn’t have the “Delete this account” option, it means you still have funds or cryptocurrency left in your account.
Before you can delete your Binance account, you need to make sure that you no longer have funds or cryptocurrency in your account.
If your account does not have less than or equal to 0.001 BTC, the application for cancellation of your account will be rejected.
1. Sign in and click the profile icon
Firstly, you need to visit Binance’s website.
If you use Binance, go to https://www.binance.com/.
On the other hand, you are using Binance US, go to https://www.binance.us/.
For other countries, go to the appropriate Binance domain name (e.g. binance.sg).
Once you are on the website, you need to log in to your account.
To access your account, click on the menu icon in the top navigation bar followed by “Sign In”.
Then, enter your login details and click the “Sign In” button to log in.
Once you are logged into your account, click on the profile icon in the top navigation bar.
2. Click on “Security”
After clicking on the profile icon in the top navigation bar, a menu will open.
In the menu you will see your email address.
You’ll also see multiple tabs like “Security,” “Identification,” “API Management,” and more.
To find the page where you want to disable or delete your Binance account, you need to go to your security settings.
Click “Security” to access the security settings.
3. Click on “Disable Account”
After clicking on “Security”, you will land on the security page.
On the security page, you will be greeted by a checklist to increase the security of your account.
Below the page, you’ll see more options like 2FA (2-Factor Authentication), Device Manager, Login Password, and more.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the “Account Activity” option,
Under the “Account Activity” option, you will see your last login activity.
You will also see a “Disable Account” link that is underlined.
Click “Disable Account” to go to the page to permanently disable or disable your Binance account.
4. Select “Delete this account”
After clicking “Disable Account”, you will be given two options.
The first option is to disable your Binance account.
If you detect suspicious activity in your account, you can disable it.
Deactivating your account is temporary, and you can reactivate it after two hours.
The second option is to delete your Binance account.
Deleting your account is a permanent and irreversible process.
To go to the page to delete your Binance account, click “Delete this account”.
5. Enter your email or phone number
After clicking on the “Delete this account” button, you will land on the “Delete Account Application” page.
On the page, you will see two tabs including “Email” and “Mobile”.
If you want to use the email address associated with your account, select the “Email” tab.
On the other hand, if you want to use the phone associated with your account, select the “mobile” tab.
If you selected the “Email” tab, enter the email address of your Binance account.
6. Click on “Confirm to delete”
Once you’ve entered the email address or phone number associated with your account, scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Be sure to read the information on the page as you scroll down.
At the bottom of the page, you will see a “Confirm to Delete” button.
Click “Confirm to Delete” to send a request to Binance to delete your account.
After clicking “Confirm to Delete”, Binance will check your request and the total number of resources.
In order for your deletion request to be accepted, your account must be 0.001 BTC or less.
In some cases, you may be required to submit certain documents, which may extend the review time.
Make sure you don’t deposit any assets into your deleted account as you may lose them.
In addition, you will not be able to recover such resources.
