1. Log in to your MetaMask wallet
The first step is to open Chrome and download the MetaMask extension.

Be sure to keep the recovery phrase in a safe place.
If you already have a MetaMask wallet, you need to access it.

2. Add a new network
After clicking “Unlock”, you will be connected to your MetaMask wallet.
Now you need to add the Avalanche network to your wallet.
This is because MetaMask does not have it.
To add a new network, click the Network drop-down box.
By default, the “Ethereum Mainnet” network will be selected.
Click “Add Network” to add a new network.
3. Add Avalanche Network (AVAX)
After clicking “Add Network”, you will land on the “Add a Network” page.
This is located in MetaMask > Settings > networks > Add a network.
You will now be able to add the Avalanche Network (AVAX) to your MetaMask wallet.

4. Send or receive Avalanche (AVAX)
After clicking “Save”, the Avalanche Mainnet network will be added to your MetaMask wallet.
The network will automatically switch to the Avalanche Mainnet network.
You can see it by looking at the drop-down box of the network.
The network drop-down box should say “Avalanche Mainnet C-Chain”.
Now you will be able to send and receive AVAX.
