Ethereum Slides as Crypto Market Sees Broad Decline

Ethereum price falls 6.87% amid a 3.5% drop in total crypto market cap, with Bitcoin dominance unchanged at 56%

Ethereum’s price fell 6.87% to $1653.82, leading a broader decline in the crypto market. The total market cap shrank 3.5%, with Bitcoin’s dominance holding steady at 56% while Ethereum’s slipped to 9%.

Bitcoin’s price dropped 2.81% to $61881, mirroring Ethereum’s decline. Among the top altcoins, Solana and Hyperliquid saw notable losses, falling 6.47% and 8.39% respectively. Figure Heloc was the sole gainer, rising 1.81%.

The contrast between Bitcoin’s relatively modest decline and Ethereum’s sharper drop suggests a shift in investor sentiment. Meanwhile, stablecoins like Tether and USDC remained flat, reflecting their role as safe havens in volatile markets.
