In a significant move for the securities finance sector, Wematch.live has announced a strategic investment from Apax Digital Funds the growth equity arm of Apax Partners. This investment is poised to accelerate Wematch’s expansion across securities finance and capital market workflows.
The investment underscores the growing importance of electronic workflows in transforming traditional financial markets. With this backing, Wematch is well-positioned to enhance its platform and solidify its role as a key player in the industry.
Strengthening the foundations of Wematch
Wematch, which was founded a decade ago, has always aimed to simplify securities finance by integrating trading and workflows on a single platform. This vision has resonated with major financial institutions, leading to the involvement of strategic investors such as BarclaysDeutsche Börse GroupJ.P. Morgan and Societe Generale.
With the new investment from Apax Digital Funds, Wematch will continue to operate independently, serving all market participants. The completion of this investment is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, at which point Apax Digital Funds will become Wematch’s majority shareholder.

The platform currently manages close to US$2 trillion of ongoing notional and has handled over US$7 trillion of basket substitutions in the past year. This impressive track record highlights the platform’s efficiency and reliability in the securities finance sector.
