Visionary Metals expands Slipstream land position with five-year SITLA exploration deal

Visionary Metals Corp. said on February 25, that its wholly owned subsidiary, Lost Creek Utah Corp, has signed a five‑year Mineral Exploration Agreement with an option to lease with the School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA). The pact covers 2,584.80 acres of state trust land in Box Elder County, Utah, lying within and adjacent to Visionary’s existing unpatented claims around the Slipstream prospect in the northern Pilot Range.

What the agreement gives Visionary – A five‑year window to explore state trust lands and the option — not a guarantee — to apply for a lease if exploration results and permitting make further development sensible. – No commitment in the announcement to specific work programs or minimum spending; the company says permitting and results will drive any move to lease.

The target and early work Slipstream is described by Visionary as a porphyry‑style target within the historic Lucin Mining District. Company field activity is currently limited to early planning and technical reviews: permitting preparation, mapping and targeted surface work rather than any advanced drilling. Visionary characterizes the acreage as strategically important for identifying domestic sources of precious and critical metals; SITLA proceeds from any lease would support Utah’s K–12 schools.

What they’ve compiled so far Visionary has put together a combined rock‑chip database of 405 samples: 380 historical samples from 1988–1997 and 25 recent samples collected by independent geologists in as part of due diligence. Selected headline assay values from the compiled dataset include: – Gold to 20.1 g/t – Copper to 5.0% – Silver to 243 g/t – Zinc to 3.4% – Molybdenum individual values at or above 1.0%

These are point‑source rock‑chip results — encouraging vectors for follow‑up work but not mineral resource estimates. Visionary says detailed tables and certified assay reports will be released as they become available.

Sampling summary (high level) – 405 rock chips in the combined dataset. – 38 samples exceeded 1.0 g/t gold; 252 samples were >0.1 g/t, with a mean near 1.07 g/t for that subset. – For copper, 32 samples reached or exceeded 1.0%, with an average near 0.59% for copper‑positive samples. – The silver population averaged roughly 20 g/t, with 32 samples ≥100 g/t. These point observations are being used to prioritize follow‑up soil/grids, trenching and geophysics ahead of any drilling.

Regulatory, environmental and community context Advancing beyond exploration will hinge on regulatory approvals, environmental baseline studies and consultations with local stakeholders — including Indigenous and community groups — as well as federal permitting where the project overlaps BLM‑administered lands under the General Mining Law of 1872. Visionary says it is preparing environmental and permitting studies and intends to engage transparently with stakeholders; no permits or production timelines have been set.

Governance and disclosure Michael Page, FAusIMM, Chief Geologist of Visionary Metals, reviewed and approved the technical content and is identified as a Qualified Person under NI 43‑101. CEO Wes Adams framed Slipstream as a potential contributor to domestic metal supply should exploration prove successful and reiterated the company’s caution that exploration results do not guarantee development.

Events and next steps – Visionary management will be at PDAC in Toronto, March 1–4, to meet investors and discuss the Slipstream prospect. – The company will report material exploration results as they are confirmed and lab certificates are available. Permitting milestones and any decision to seek a lease will depend on regulatory reviews and the outcome of the next phases of field work. The data provide clear targets to test, but substantial technical, regulatory and community work lies ahead before any drilling, leasing or development can occur.
