How to Trade US30 on MT4
Currently, most Forex trading platforms have a US30 index for traders to trade efficiently.
US30 is in the form of CFD contracts (cash and futures).
Cash CFD trading is essentially trading on the market at the moment. CfD futures trading is a form of derivatives trading, buying and selling the future price of that product until a certain maturity. Depending on your needs, you can choose the product you want.
How to trade US30 on MT4 as follows:
Step 1: Log in to your MT4 account, move your mouse over the Market Watch window > right-click on US30 (Cash or Future) > New Order. The commercial window then appears.
Note: If the US30 index does not appear in the Market Watch window. Click View symbols > > CFD Cash/ CFD Future > US30.
Step 2: Customize some trading parameters such as Volume (volume), Stoploss, Take profit (stop loss and take profit), Type (order match type).
Step 3: Click Buy or Sell to open a trading order.
How to Place a Pending Order to Trade US30 on MT4
In addition to trading the US30 index at the market price (Market Execution), you can also place a pending order (Pending Order) on Metatrader4.
Pending orders on MT4 are divided into four types:
- Buy Limit – a buy order at the bid price (Ask price) equal to or lower than the price specified in the order. At this point, the current price is higher than the value specified in the order. Orders of this type are usually placed with the expectation that the price will rise after falling to a certain level.
- Buy Stop – a buy order at the bid price (Ask price) equal to or higher than the price specified in the order. At this point, the current price is less than the value specified in the order. Orders of this type are normally placed with the expectation that the price of the instrument will reach a certain level and continue to rise.
How to place a pending order (Pending Order) on the Meta Trader 5 trading platform - Sell Limit: A trading order to sell at the ask price (Bid price) equal to or higher than the price specified in the order. At this point, the current price is less than the value specified in the order. Orders of this type are usually made with the expectation that the price will fall after a certain level has been reached.
- Sell Stop – a buy order at the ask price (Bid price) equal to or lower than the price specified in the order. At this point, the current price is higher than the value specified in the order. Orders of this type are normally placed with the expectation that the price of the instrument will reach a certain level and continue to fall.
To place a pending order to buy the US30 index on MT4, in the US30 index trading window, click type > select Pending Order. Under Pending Order, select 1 of the 4 types of pending orders (Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, Sell Stop) and the price you want to enter per buy limit/sell limit. And then press Insert to open a new order.
How much money do you need to buy the US30 index?
Traders buy/sell US30 in volume. To know the minimum trading volume, right-click on that asset > select Specify > contract size.
However, the usual trading volume applied to indices is at least 1.
