The tourism recruitment bonus is an economic incentive for businesses in the tourism sector in the Liguria region, introduced to support employment and improve working conditions. This contribution, which ranges from 2,500 euros to 8,000 euros, is provided to companies that hire staff with permanent or fixed-term contracts, provided that the latter lasts 8 months or more. Who is entitled to the tourism recruitment bonus

The bonus can be requested by private companies operating in the tourism sector with operational headquarters in Liguria, regardless of their size (sole proprietorship, micro, small, medium or large enterprise). Even cooperatives and their consortia can benefit from the bonus, including working members.

To be able to access the incentive, companies must fall under the following ATECO codes:

  • 55.10.00 — hotels
  • 55.20.00 — accommodations
  • 55.20.10 — tourist villages
  • 55.20.20 — youth hostels
  • 55.20.30 — mountain shelters
  • 55.20.40 — marine and mountain colonies
  • 55.30.00 — camping areas and areas equipped for campers and caravans
  • 56.10.11 — catering with administration
  • 56.30.00 — bar and other similar establishments without a kitchen
  • other ATECO codes in the accommodation and restaurant sector.

Requirements for businesses

Companies that wish to claim the bonus must be in good standing with:

  • National collective labor agreements
  • Social security and insurance contributions
  • Occupational safety regulations
  • Regulations on the right to work of disabled people (law 68/1999)
  • In addition, the company must be regularly registered in the register of companies with the Chamber of Commerce and be active at the time the application is submitted.

    Requirements for workers

    In order to benefit from the bonus, companies must hire workers without existing employment relationships. Are allowed:

    • Indefinite contracts concluded as of January 1, 2024. If part-time, a commitment of at least 24 hours a week is required.
    • Fixed-term contracts with a duration of at least 8 months. Also in this case, if part-time, a minimum commitment of 24 hours a week is required.

    Important: for restaurant activities (ATECO 56.10.11 and 56.10.12), ice cream and pastry shops (ATECO 56.10.30) and bars without a kitchen (ATECO 56.30.00), the bonus is recognized only for permanent recruitment.

    How does the Liguria tourism recruitment bonus work

    The incentive works in a “counter” mode: applications are evaluated based on the chronological order of submission, without rankings. The request must be submitted while the employment contract is still in place, and the bonus can also be recognized for the indefinite transformation of an initially fixed-term contract

    How much is the bonus

    The amount of the bonus varies depending on the type of contract and the length of employment:

    • 8,000 euros for permanent recruitment.
    • 4,500 euros for fixed-term contracts with a duration of more than 9 months.
    • 3,500 euros for fixed-term contracts lasting between 8 and 9 months.
    • 2,500 euros for fixed-term contracts of less than 8 months (only for specific categories such as bathing establishments).

    Priviality

    Companies that meet certain conditions are granted an increase in the bonus:

    • 10% increase if you hire beneficiaries of the GOL or Job Training Support program, or if the company is registered in the register of socially responsible employers.
    • 35% increase for hiring disabled people beyond the legal obligation.
    • 50% increase for companies that have entered into business or territorial agreements with unions since January 1, 2024.

    How to apply for the tourism recruitment bonus

    Interested companies can request the bonus through the electronic procedure available on the regional “Online Calls” portal. It is necessary to authenticate yourself with SPID, CIE or regional credentials to access the platform and fill out the application, which must be complete with all the
    required documents.

    Deadline for applications

    Applications for the tourism recruitment bonus in Liguria can be submitted until December 31, 2024, subject to the exhaustion of funds. It is important to respect the times for submitting the application, which can be made from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 17:30.
