The first executive program on private markets in Italy

The growing interest in private markets

In recent years, private markets have gained a prominent position in investment strategies, especially among High Net Worth Individual (HNWI) clients. These markets offer opportunities for diversification and potential returns higher than traditional markets, attracting the attention of investors and financial advisors. However, the complexity of these tools requires specific skills and a strategic approach to effectively navigate this rapidly evolving industry.

A cutting-edge training program

The Sella group, in collaboration with the SDA Bocconi School of Management, has recently launched the first Executive Program dedicated to private markets. This training course, aimed at 45 private bankers from Banca Patrimoni Sella & C. and Banca Sella, took place over two days at the prestigious Milan campus.
The program combined theoretical sessions with practical exercises, addressing crucial topics such as private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure and private debt.

Skills to face market challenges

The training course has been designed to provide private bankers with the necessary skills to face the challenges related to private markets. Thanks to the contribution of experts from SDA Bocconi, the participants have acquired an in-depth view of investment dynamics and risk management strategies. Alessandro Marchesin, Head of Wealth & Asset Management of the Sella group, emphasized the importance of constant updating to guarantee consultants access to excellent know-how, essential for offering innovative and customized solutions to
clients.

The future of private markets in Italy

Professor Andrea Beland Professor Alessia Bezzecchi have highlighted that assets that can be invested in private markets represent only a fraction of total private assets. However, a significant development of this asset class is expected, especially in countries such as Italy, where the market capitalization is relatively modest compared to the Gross Domestic Product. The role of private bankers will be crucial in the dissemination of these assets, since they will have to understand the needs of investors and explain the mechanisms that govern returns in private markets
