Strategic agreement between Enilive and EasyJet for sustainable fuel

An innovative agreement for sustainable mobility

Enilive, part of the Eni group and specialized in mobility solutions, recently announced a strategic agreement with the airline EasyJet. This agreement represents a significant step towards sustainability in the aviation sector, in particular for flights departing from Milan Malpensa airport. The supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is at the heart of this collaboration, which aims to reduce the environmental impact of air operations
.

Details of the agreement and environmental benefits

The fuel provided by Enilive is an innovative blend that includes 20% pure SAF, combined with traditional jet fuel. This solution not only allows EasyJet to meet the growing demand for flights on new routes to Oslo and Tromso, in Norway, but it also contributes to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions. The initiative is part of EasyJet’s wider commitment to sustainability, which involves the adoption of greener and more responsible practices in the aviation sector
.

Economic incentives and support for the adoption of the SAF

In addition, EasyJet will be able to benefit from the SAF Support Program 2024, offered by SEA, which provides an economic incentive of 800 thousand euros per ton of SAF used at Milan airports. This financial support, with a total value of 500 thousand euros, represents an important opportunity to promote the use of sustainable fuels in the aviation sector. The collaboration between Enilive and EasyJet not only favors the adoption of more sustainable practices, but also encourages other airlines to consider the use of
alternative fuels.

The future of sustainable aviation

This agreement marks an important step towards a more sustainable future for aviation. With the increase in awareness regarding climate change and the environmental impact of human activities, initiatives such as the one between Enilive and EasyJet are fundamental. The transition to sustainable fuels is essential to reduce emissions and ensure a greener future for the aviation sector. The hope is that this partnership can serve as a model for other companies in the sector, stimulating positive and lasting change
