The opening day of Wall Street brought good news for investors, with the main indices showing a significant recovery after a negative session. The Dow Jones gained 326.28 points, corresponding to an increase of 0.76%, while the S&P 500 registered an increase of 52.63 points, equal to 0.89%. The Nasdaq recorded an increase of 289.20 points, with a +1.50%. These results indicate a robust recovery for U.S.

Industrial production and economic growth
In parallel with the positive results on Wall Street, industrial production in the United States showed an increase of 0.9% in December 2024, exceeding analysts’ expectations. Manufacturing production also experienced significant growth, with an increase of 0.6%. Industrial capacity utilization rose to 77.6%, exceeding initial estimates. These data are encouraging and suggest a stabilization of the economy, in line with the forecasts of the International Monetary Fund, which estimates global growth of 3.3% for this year and next

Inflation and tourism in Europe
Another factor contributing to this recovery is the decline in inflation, which is encouraging the normalization of monetary policies. In 2024, tourism in Europe is expected to reach an historic peak, with almost 3 billion overnight stays, surpassing the 2023 record. However, not all nations are benefiting from this trend.
