What is the Single Fund for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities 2024
The Single Fund for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities is a capital of financial resources established by the government with articles 1, paragraphs 210-216, of the law of 30 December 2023, n. 213 (budget law 2024). This fund, active since January 1, 2024, is managed by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and will subsequently be transferred to the autonomous budget of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers

Initially, 231,807,485 euros were allocated per year, but thanks to an amendment to the budget law, the budget was increased to more than 552 million euros. However, these funds are lower than the 581.8 million euros expected in the first versions of
the maneuver.

For 2024, the Single Fund for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities, with a budget of 552 million euros, will be further increased in the coming years:
- 213,462,224 euros for 2025
- 158,427,884 euros for 2026
On August 2, 2024, the Minister for Disabilities, Alessandra Locatelli, signed the first decree on the criteria for allocating the Single Fund. This decree provides that 50 million euros of the fund will be allocated to the Regions to finance accessible and inclusive tourism projects, as well as internships for the employment of people with disabilities

What does the Single Disability Inclusion Fund 2024 provide
The Single Fund for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities finances various initiatives related to specific objectives, including:
- Strengthening assistance services for the autonomy and communication of students with disabilities in schools.
- Promotion and construction of infrastructures, including digital ones, for policies for the inclusion of people with disabilities.
- Work and sports inclusion.
- Development of accessible tourism.
- Initiatives for people with neurodevelopmental and autism spectrum disorders.
- Supporting the role of the family caregiver.
- Promotion of the social inclusion of deaf and deaf people, also through interpreting projects in Italian sign language (LIS) and remote video interpreting.
How does the Single Disability Inclusion Fund work
The Single Fund for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities works through the creation of integrated lines of intervention, decided by means of one or more decrees by the Delegated Political Authority for Disability, in collaboration with the Minister of Economy and Finance and other competent ministers. The Regions will manage the funds allocated, with the aim of overcoming the fragmentation of resources and improving the effectiveness of
interventions.
The fund combines several previously separated resources, such as the Fund for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities, the Fund for Assistance to Students with Disabilities, the Fund for the Support of Family Caregivers and the Fund for the Inclusion of Deaf and Hearing Loss.
Monitoring
Starting from 2025, the local authorities that will receive the Fund’s resources will be subject to monitoring and must provide reports to ensure appropriate use of the allocated resources.
