The Sicilian Region has launched a call that offers incentives to companies to hire unemployed workers. This program aims to encourage 1,350 new permanent hires, with a maximum contribution of 30,000 euros per company, spread over three years. Interested companies will have to participate in a Click Day in order to access the funds.
Details on Hiring Incentives
Recruitment incentives in Sicily are economic contributions intended for companies that hire new staff indefinitely, stabilize existing workers or hire permanent trainees. The maximum incentive is 30,000 euros per company, divided into 10,000 euros per year for three years

The call, worth a total of 40 million euros, was approved by the Regional Council with Resolution No. 2344 of 21 August 2024. Applications may be submitted exclusively through a Click Day, the date of which will be announced soon.
Who Can Apply for Incentives
Companies, including micro and small and medium-sized enterprises, can apply for incentives if they meet the following requirements:
- Have or activate a production unit in Sicily.
- Have made or made new permanent hires starting from January 1, 2024, transforming fixed-term contracts into permanent contracts, or permanently hiring interns from the same company.
The sectors related to lotteries, betting, gambling houses and agriculture are excluded.
Amount of Incentives
The maximum incentive for each company is 30,000 euros, distributed over three years, with a maximum of 10,000 euros per year. Companies can request the incentive for up to 10 workers hired indefinitely

For part-time contracts, the contribution will be proportional to the hours worked, but will not be recognized for part-time contracts lower than 50% of the full time provided for by the category’s national collective bargaining agreement.
How Hiring Incentives Work
The incentives will be awarded through an application procedure during Click Day, which is a sort of electronic tender. The first companies that are able to submit the application will have access to the
available funds.
To obtain the incentive, companies must have hired permanent workers who:
- They have been resident or domiciled in Sicily for at least six months.
- They are between 18 and 65 years old.
- They are unemployed at the time of their new hire.
Timing and Methods of Participation
Companies must participate in the Click Day, which will take place online through a dedicated computer system, accessible with SPID. The applications will be ordered according to the time of submission, with the funds allocated to the first valid requests
