What are regional hiring concessions?

Regional hiring concessions are economic contributions, tax breaks and active labor policy measures. These incentives are granted to employers who hire staff in 2024, with the aim of addressing specific local issues, such as the promotion of employment in key sectors, the development of disadvantaged areas
and professional retraining.

List of regional concessions for recruitment 2024

Here is an overview of the main benefits active in the various Italian regions in 2024:

Calabria Region — Tourism recruitment incentives

The Calabria Region has activated an incentive to promote employment in the tourism sector. Employers who operate in this sector and hire unemployed residents in Calabria can benefit from a bonus that covers 50% or 75% of wage costs for a maximum of 12 months, extendable to 24 months for
disadvantaged workers.

Campania Region — Tourism recruitment incentives

The Campania Region also offers an incentive for recruitment in the tourism sector. The contribution ranges from 2,500 to 7,000 euros depending on the type of contract and the transformations from a fixed term to an indefinite period. Funds are also available for the activation of non-curricular internships lasting
at least 4 months.

Lombardy Region — Unemployment incentives

The Lombardy Region provides an incentive for hiring people who have been unemployed for at least 30 days, with contributions ranging from 4,000 to 8,000 euros, based on the gender and age of the worker. An additional contribution of 1,000 euros is expected for employers with less than 50 employees.

Tuscany Region — Aid to workers and companies in crisis

The Tuscany Region offers a contribution for the recruitment of workers affected by layoffs due to business crises. The aid ranges from 4,000 to 10,000 euros, with rewards for hiring women and people with disabilities

Tuscany Region — Aid to women victims of violence

Also in Tuscany, there is an incentive for hiring women victims of violence, with contributions ranging from 2,718.90 to 10,875.60 euros, depending on the type of contract.

Marche Region — Incentives for hiring the unemployed

In the Marche region, employers can benefit from incentives ranging from 6,500 to 26,000 euros for hiring the unemployed or those at risk of social exclusion. The maximum amount per company is 52,000 euros

Valle d’Aosta Region — Recruitment registered with the GOL program

The Valle d’Aosta Region offers up to 16,000 euros for each new permanent hire of workers enrolled in the GOL program, with proportional contributions for fixed-term contracts.

Liguria Region — Tourism recruitment bonus

In Liguria, businesses in the tourism sector can request a contribution ranging from 2,500 to 8,000 euros for hires with fixed-term or indefinite contracts of at least 8 months.
