Significant increases in Rome
Over the past year, the rental market in Rome has experienced an unprecedented increase. The average rent for a studio apartment has almost doubled, from 597 euros to 1078 euros, an increase of 80%. Two-room apartments have also seen a significant increase, with an average cost that now stands at 1223 euros, marking a 25% increase compared to the previous year.
Three-room and four-room apartments were not exempt from price increases, with increases of 43% and 51% respectively.
Milan: the most expensive city in Italy
Milan continues to hold the record as the most expensive city for rents. Although the increases are lower than in other cities, prices remain high. A studio apartment costs an average of 1311 euros, while a three-room apartment reaches 1767 euros. The price increases for two-room apartments have even fallen by 35%, but single rooms continue to grow, with an average cost
of 1201 euros.
Turin and Naples: rising prices
Turin recorded an increase similar to Rome, with studios now costing 815 euros, marking an increase of 75%. Naples, on the other hand, saw an increase of 23% for studio apartments, with an average cost of 739 euros.
Even three-room apartments and single rooms in Naples recorded significant increases, of 16% and 12% respectively.
Bologna: growth in student rents
Bologna, known for its university vocation, has seen an increase of 33% for three-room apartments, with an average cost of 1767 euros. This increase is particularly significant for students, who are faced with increasingly high housing costs.
