Have you recently changed your phone number?
Or do you want to use a different phone number on Binance?
Binance requires you to set up AN SMS authentication.
An SMS authentication will be used for withdrawals and security changes.
Every time you make a withdrawal or security change on the exchange, you will need to enter a 6-digit code sent to your phone number.
However, if you have changed your phone number, you will not be able to do so.
On the Binance login screen, enter your login details, click “Sign In” and click “Security Verification Not Available”.
Then, follow the on-screen instructions to change your phone number.
However, if you are already logged in or if you still have access to your old phone number, you can change your phone number on the exchange.
In this guide, you will learn how to change your phone number on Binance.

How to change your phone number on Binance
To change your phone number on Binance, you need to disable SMS authentication on the security page, click “Security Verification Not Available” and follow the on-screen instructions.
However, if you can’t log in to Binance, enter your login information, click “Sign In, then click “Security Verification Not Available.”
If you still have access to your old phone, you will still be able to access Binance.
Then, you will be able to change your phone number while you are connected to the exchange.
On the other hand, if you are not logged in to Binance and do not have access to your old phone number, you need to find the “Security verification not available” link.
You can find the link by going to the Binance login page, entering your login details, clicking on “Login”, then clicking on the “Security verification not available” link.
Then, you will be able to change your Binance phone number by following the on-screen instructions.
Here’s how you can change your phone number on Binance if you’re already signed in:
1. Log in to Binance and go to “Security”
First, you need to log in to Binance.
Go to binance’s website, click “Sign In” and log in to your account.
If you are not logged in to Binance but want to change your phone number, read here.
Once you are logged in to Binance, you will land on the exchange’s home page.
On the home page, you’ll see a profile icon on the top navigation bar.
Click the profile icon in the top navigation bar.
After clicking on the profile icon, a navigation menu will open.
In the navigation menu, you will see multiple options including your email, “Security”, “Identification” and more.
Click “Security” to access the security settings.
2. Click on “Disable”
After clicking on “Security”, you will land on the security page.
On the security page, you will see a “2FA” section.
In the “2FA” section, you will be able to configure the security key, Google authentication, SMS authentication, and email address.
“SMS Authentication” security is where you can change your phone number.
Click “Disable” to go to the security verification page.
3. Click “Security Check Not Available”
When you make a security change on Binance, you are required to complete a 2FA (two-factor authentication).
This reduces the risk of unauthorized access.
Then, when you click “Disable”, you are prompted to enter a 6-digit code under “Phone Verification Code” and “Email Verification Code”.
If you don’t have access to your old phone number, you won’t be able to complete the 2FA.
So, if you don’t have access to your old phone number, click “Security verification not available?”.
4. Select your number
After clicking on “Security verification not available?”, you will land on the “Restore security verification” page.
The “Reset Security Verification” page allows you to reset your phone number or email address if you don’t have access to it.
There are two options you can choose from, including your phone number and email.
While you are trying to change your phone number, click on the phone number option.
For example, if your phone number is “12345678”, you will see the option “123*5678 is not available and I would like to reset it”.
Then, click “Confirm Restore” to confirm the recovery.
5. Send the email verification code
After clicking “Confirm Restore”, a pop-up message will appear.
The pop-up message is a security verification that you must complete before you can change your phone number.
Since you don’t have access to your phone number, you need to complete security verification through your email.
Click “Send Code” to send a 6-digit code to your email.
6. Check your email for the code
After clicking “Send Code”, Binance will send a 6-digit code to your email.
Check your email for the 6-digit code.
The subject line of the email is “Request to reset security items.”
If you can’t find the email, be sure to check for junk mail or spam as it may have arrived there.
Once you find the email, copy the 6-digit code.
Then, paste the 6-digit code into the previous step and click “Submit” to complete the security verification.
7. Reset your phone number
After completing the security verification, you will land on the “Reset Security Items” page.
On the page, you will see a couple of fields including “New Phone Number” and “SMS Verification Code”.
In the “New phone number” field, click the country drop-down box and select your country.
For example, if you live in Singapore, select Singapore (+65).
Then, enter the phone number you want to change next to the country drop-down box.
Then, click “Get Code” on the “SMS Verification Code”.
After clicking “Get Code” you will receive a 6-digit code from Binance via SMS.
Enter the 6-digit code in the “SMS verification code” field.
Finally, click “Restore Now” to change your phone number to Binance.
Conclusion
Changing Binance’s phone number requires you to complete a security verification.
This is the same if you were to make security changes on the exchange.
So, if you don’t have access to your phone number or email address, you won’t be able to make any security changes.
In that case, the only option is to contact Binance Support for assistance in resetting your phone number or email address.
