PDAC 2026 in Toronto to highlight global mineral projects and core shack showcases

The Metro Toronto Convention Centre will host the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 94th annual Convention from March 1–4, 2026, bringing together a broad cross-section of the global mineral sector. This gathering is designed to foster deal-making, technical exchange and relationship building among industry leaders, investors, government officials, Indigenous partners and students. With an expanded footprint across the full Metro Toronto Convention Centre, PDAC 2026 aims to reflect strong international demand and demonstrate the sector’s evolving priorities.

At the heart of PDAC’s program are exhibition halls, technical sessions, short courses and keynote addresses that address the main forces shaping mineral exploration and development today. The convention will also host targeted investor forums such as the Investors Exchange, specialist showcases like the Core Shack, and networking moments including awards presentations and social gatherings, all designed to accelerate project advancement and strengthen partnerships.

Convention scale and strategic aims

Organizers report that PDAC 2026 will occupy both the North and South buildings of the MTCC, representing the largest trade show footprint in the association’s history and featuring more than 1,300 exhibitors. This physical expansion aligns with the convention’s objective to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of emerging projects, new technologies and evolving investment opportunities across the mining value chain. For attendees, the event offers concentrated access to project teams, technical experts and service providers in a single venue.

The program emphasizes both technical rigor and business development: attendees can examine drill core in person, attend corporate presentations aimed at investors, and engage with prospectors and developers in focused settings. Through these activities, PDAC supports a mineral sector that seeks to be competitive, responsible and sustainable, while responding to intensifying demand for critical minerals and metals.

Selected Core Shack showcases: Collective Mining and Awalé Resources

The PDAC Core Shack is a curated technical forum highlighting projects with strong geological fundamentals and discovery potential. Two notable selections for PDAC 2026 include Collective Mining Ltd. and Awalé Resources Limited, each chosen to present drill core and technical materials to the convention’s technical and investor audiences.

Collective Mining: Apollo system at the Core Shack

Collective Mining announced that its Apollo system within the Guayabales Project in Caldas, Colombia, was selected by the PDAC 2026 Technical Committee for display in the Core Shack. The company will present core and supporting technical content during Session A on Sunday, March 1 and Monday, March 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Booth #3114A in the Investors Exchange, Level 800, South Building. Management will also be available at the company booth (#2138) from March 1 to March 3. The selection signals technical recognition for Apollo, which Collective describes as a large intrusion-related system with continuous mineralization to depths exceeding 1,410 vertical metres and ongoing expansion targets.

Awalé Resources: Odienné project core display and investor events

Awalé Resources will showcase core from its district-scale Odienné Gold-Copper Project in Côte d’Ivoire at the Core Shack on Tuesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 4 at Booth #3117B in the Investors Exchange, Level 800. Ahead of PDAC, Awalé will participate in the private Ore Day VIP investor lunch on Saturday, February 28 at the Shangri-La Hotel Toronto, offering updates directly to a select investor audience. Company technical and executive representatives plan to be on site throughout the convention to engage with investors and peers.

Why these showcases matter

Being featured in the Core Shack is a form of peer endorsement that draws attention from geologists, analysts and institutional investors who seek projects with robust technical data. For Collective, the appearance underlines the significance of the Apollo discovery and supports the company’s aggressive drilling program, which includes more than 110,000 metres drilled at Apollo to date and plans for additional metres in 2026. For Awalé, displaying Odienné core offers investors direct, tactile insight into the project’s mineralization style and scale.

These presentations are also practical opportunities for companies to discuss funding, timeline expectations and next steps such as maiden resource estimates or expanded exploration. They create a concentrated window in which project teams can convert technical credibility into strategic partnerships and capital commitments.

Attending and registration

Registration details for PDAC 2026 and related programming are available through PDAC’s official convention page. The convention remains a strategic rendezvous for anyone tracking the future of the mineral industry, from early-stage explorers to major producers, financers and policymakers. For companies selected to present core, the event represents both technical validation and an opportunity to elevate their profile within the global mining and investment communities.
