The planned sessions and workshops will cover seven thematic areas, addressing crucial topics such as future payments and the impact of
new technologies.
Innovation and sustainability in the payments sector
The 2023 Payment Fair will focus on how technological innovations, such as artificial intelligence and digital payments, are revolutionizing the sector. In a complex macroeconomic environment, the payments sector is evolving to respond to the challenges of global competition and regulation. New technologies not only increase opportunities, but they also pose new challenges, such as the need to guarantee consumer privacy and combat fraud
.
Discussion topics and networking opportunities
During the three days of the event, participants will have the opportunity to discuss relevant topics such as the revision of the PSD2, instant payments and the digital euro. Industry experts will be present who will share their experiences and innovative solutions. Gianfranco Torriero, deputy vicar general manager of ABI, emphasized the importance of this event as a platform for experimenting with innovations that will soon become part of the daily lives of customers
and companies.
An inclusive and sustainable future
The Payment Fair is not limited to exploring technological innovations, but also places a strong emphasis on sustainability and inclusion. As sensitivity to ESG issues increases, digital payments can help reduce card use and promote financial inclusion. The event therefore represents a unique opportunity to understand how payments can become an engine of social and economic change.
