Orosur Mining releases 2026 financials and exploration milestones

Orosur Mining Inc. (TSXV: OMI, OTC: OROXF, AIM: OMI) has filed its audited financial statements for the fiscal year ended May 31, 2026. The packages, including the Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) and Forms 52-109FV1, were posted on SEDAR+ on September 25 and can also be accessed via the company’s website. All monetary values are expressed in thousands of U.S. dollars.

Operational highlights in Colombia

At the Anza Project in Colombia, the in-fill drilling campaign at the Pepas zone concluded with a Maiden Resource Estimate of 219,000 ounces of gold. Following the reporting period, Orosur disclosed the discovery of a second mineralized envelope roughly 100 m west of the original Pepas target, expanding the exploration footprint. Work at the central APTA target began after year-end to clarify structural controls; early results point to three distinct zones of interest that could feed a future resource estimate later in the year.

South of APTA, the company completed detailed geological mapping and sampling at El Cedro. A newly identified second porphyry to the south prompted airborne geophysical surveys aimed at defining drill targets for both locations. Drilling that started in late August 2026 produced encouraging intersect data: the inaugural hole at El Cedro returned gold mineralisation from surface over 61.35 m at 0.93 g/t Au, including a higher-grade sub-interval of 42.15 m at 1.02 g/t Au beginning at 19 m depth. The program plans to extend to a depth of 500 m.

Exploration progress in Argentina

The El Pantano project in Argentina saw its first drilling campaign wrap up in March 2026 after completing approximately 5,500 m across 24 diamond holes. The drill pattern spanned the eastern and western limits of the main rift-related epithermal system, allowing evaluation of lateral and vertical geochemical variations. On July 22, 2026, Orosur announced that the results define a major gold-silver epithermal system and that a NI 43-101 technical report has been filed on SEDAR+.

That same day the company confirmed it had satisfied all obligations under its joint-venture agreement with Deseado thereby exercising its option to acquire 100 % ownership of El Pantano. Deseado retains a residual 2 % net smelter royalty, of which 1 % is purchasable by Orosur for US$1 million. The newly acquired data will guide a potential second drill campaign later in the year.

Financial performance and capital actions

Orosur’s cash balance rose to $9.954 million as of May 31, 2026, up from $4.877 million a year earlier. The balance stood at $7.350 million at the time of this release, reflecting recent cash-flow dynamics. In the 2025 capital-raising cycle, the company executed an upsized brokered private placement that generated Cdn$20 million gross proceeds by issuing 58,823,530 common shares at Cdn$0.34 each; the transaction closed on October 2, 2025.

At the Annual General Meeting held on December 17, 2025, shareholders approved all resolutions presented. Looking ahead, Orosur announced a new brokered private placement on September 22, 2026, aiming to raise up to Cdn$14 million by issuing up to 43,750,000 units at Cdn$0.32 per unit. Each unit carries a warrant exercisable for one common share at US$0.32 for two years, with a lock-up period of 61 days. Closing is expected around October 6, 2026.

From an accounting standpoint, the audited consolidated statements were prepared on a going-concern basis using historical cost, except for fair-value items and the discontinued operations in Uruguay and Chile, which are measured at the lower of cost or recoverable amount. The financials show total assets of $22.780 million and total equity of $19.471 million, while the loss for continuing operations was $5.923 million for the year.

Corporate governance and outlook

The release notes that the information constitutes insider material under EU Market Abuse Regulations and is now public. The company’s qualified person, CEO Brad George (BSc Hons Geology & Geophysics, MBA, MAIG), approved the technical disclosures. Orosur follows international QA/QC protocols, with core splitting, sample handling at ALS and Actlabs facilities, and a 10 % QA/QC sample regime to ensure data integrity.

With a growing gold resource base in Colombia, full ownership of the El Pantano project in Argentina, and a pipeline of financing, Orosur positions itself for continued exploration advancement and potential resource delineation in 2026-27.
