Rapid Critical Metals reports promising results from Webbs Silver Project
Rapid Critical Metals Ltd (ASX:RCM) has completed a diamond drilling program at its fully owned Webbs Silver Project in northern New South Wales. The final six drill holes revealed exceptional bonanza-grade silver intercepts, reinforcing the continuity and strength of mineralization within the project’s structural framework.
The drilling program covered 2,057 meters and was specifically designed to explore the extensions of known mineral deposits.
It also assessed the potential for new lodes within the overarching Webbs structural corridor. The newly reported assays not only indicate the presence of narrow bonanza zones but also suggest that additional sub-parallel lodes may exist beyond the established Main Lode.
Significant assay results
The recent drilling efforts have yielded noteworthy findings, including an intersection of 4,216 grams per tonne (g/t) AgEq over a width of 0.59 meters in drill hole WSDD011. This result is part of a larger zone measuring 2.5 meters at 1,075 g/t AgEq. Additional impressive results include 1.0 meters at 754 g/t AgEq from WSDD009 and 1.85 meters at 453 g/t AgEq from WSDD008. These findings highlight the presence of multiple high-grade intersections across the drill sections, reinforcing the evidence of robust silver mineralization at Webbs.
Drill hole specifics
The latest drilling results reveal significant intersections that underscore the ongoing exploration potential in the Webbs project area.
- WSDD011: This hole reported 2.5 meters at 1,075 g/t AgEq from a depth of 39.5 meters, including a notable high-grade section of 0.59 meters at 4,216 g/t AgEq.
- WSDD009: This drill hole produced 1.0 meter at 754 g/t AgEq starting from 55 meters.
- WSDD008: This hole yielded 1.85 meters at 453 g/t AgEq from a depth of 132.5 meters.
These findings build on previously reported results, including 2.24 meters at 1,115 g/t AgEq from WSDD005, which further emphasizes the robust discovery potential in this region.
Future exploration plans
Rapid Critical Metals is set to embark on an extensive exploration campaign across its New South Wales silver portfolio in, with a particular emphasis on the Webbs site. The upcoming work will include additional drilling to investigate the interpreted parallel lodes and extensions. This effort aims to enhance resource growth and initiate discovery drilling within the broader Webbs–Webbs Consol corridor. Integrating these new assay results will be essential for updating geological and resource models.
Management insights
Byron Miles, Managing Director of Rapid, commented on recent findings, stating, “These latest results further demonstrate the strength and consistency of high-grade silver mineralization at Webbs. The confirmation of multiple bonanza-grade intercepts from newly reported drill holes is particularly encouraging and supports our view that the Webbs system hosts additional mineralized structures beyond the main lodes.”
With mineralization remaining open along strike and at depth, the company is strategically positioned to advance its exploration efforts, building on the promising outcomes from the latest drilling program.
