As planned for 2022, there are many new versions of cryptocurrency coming out this year hoping to become the next big crypto currency.
2021 was a turning point for cryptocurrencies like Shiba Inu and Dogecoin, with Bitcoin touching a new ATH.
While 2021 may have set the bar pretty high, we are now five months from 2022, with a slightly declining market. Let’s take a look at some of the major crypto coins that will be released this year.
New versions of cryptocurrency 2022
As always, many new cryptocurrency tokens and coins were launched in early 2022.
MoveZ, Cube Network LiNEAR Protocol, Aurora Finance, and Mandox are among the most important recent additions to CoinGecko, for example. Alongside these, the Optimism L2 airdrop has also gained a considerable amount of attention.
However, the launch of the new prominent cryptocurrency is Luna 2.0. After Luna’s cryptographic crash saw Luna drop by 99.9% in value, Terra opted to sever ties with the old chain. This also left behind Luna Classic and UST Classic.
2022 seems to be the year of DAO-related cryptocurrencies. DAO tokens such as Oasis DAO, AssangeDAO and CoreDAO are among those launched in recent months. In addition, the BAYC-powered ApeCoin was also recently launched, which is attracting credible momentum.
In addition to new cryptocurrencies, 2022 also brings with it a mine of new NFT projects.
Upcoming Cryptocurrency Releases 2022
2022 consists of many exciting new crypto tokens ready for launch on major crypto platforms.
According to data from CoinMarketCap, the new crypto tokens they are traversing or setting up to launch ICOs or IDO include Outlanders, WalkN, and MapMetrics. Users can check out upcoming versions of cryptographic tokens here. Many of these seem to be for the new NFT games.
There are also rumors about a potential ust 2.0 stablecoin launch following the de-pegging of the original FSO.
However, as with all new cryptocurrencies and ICOs, users need to do their own research and due diligence around each individual token before investing further.
New crypto coins coming in 2022
2022 could also see the implementation of essential features in existing cryptocurrencies that could affect their prices and performance.
Ethereum 2.0 is still rumored for a launch in 2022. However we are still not sure if this will actually happen, or will receive another delay.
Axie Infinity will integrate new updates to the Axie Roadmap after the launch of Axie Infinity Origin.
Cardano is also pushing for further scaling updates as part of the Cardan roadmap, which includes Cardano Hydra.
Finally, Shiba Inu Coin’s roadmap also seems stacked for the future, while Bitcoin is split on the BIP-119 proposal.
