National inclusion and fight against poverty program for young people up to 21 years old

The national program for inclusion and the fight against poverty, aimed at young people up to 21 years old, is ready to be launched. The plan, co-financed by FSE+ and ERDF, allocates more than 4 billion euros for 2024, with the aim of supporting social inclusion and combating poverty. What is the national inclusion and fight against poverty program

The national program for inclusion and fight against poverty 2021-2027 is a set of measures funded by the European Commission to promote social inclusion and combat poverty. One of the most important public notices is the “Deseenazione – Desideri in Action” call, established by Directorial Decree No. 69 of 21 March 2024 and financed with 250 million euros.

The program has a total of more than 4 billion euros (EU funding and national co-financing) and is divided into four main priorities (three ESF+ and one ERDF), in addition to two technical assistance priorities (an ESF+ and an ERDF).

Aid for young people under 21

The aid for young people under 21 provided for by the program will be provided by territorial social areas (ATS) throughout Italy. The goal is to create multifunctional spaces to promote participation, the development of potential, integration, social inclusion, the fight against early school leaving and the enhancement of the affective and relational skills of preadolescents and adolescents

The program aims to create integrated service centers, where boys and girls will be accompanied on paths to develop personal and social skills useful for their individual growth.

Who is the aid for

The “Deseteenazione — Desideri in Action” call is intended for:

  • adolescents between the ages of 11 and 18 and to the families of local adolescents;
  • children between 18 and 21 years old, in line with the national plan of action for the implementation of the child guarantee, which provides support for new adults who are leaving taking care following removal from their family of origin.

When does help arrive

The aid provided for by the “Deseenazione – Desideri in Action” call of the national inclusion and fight against poverty program will arrive after the summer of 2024, following the expiry of the notice and the conclusion of the related investigation for the start of the first projects.
