What is the Made in Rome Women’s Business Call?
The Made in Rome Women’s Business Call 2024 is an initiative promoted by Roma Capitale to support the development of female entrepreneurship, encouraging the birth and growth of micro and small businesses in the Roman territory, with particular attention to vulnerable urban areas. With a fund of 500,000 euros, the call aims to reduce gender inequalities and promote the creation of opportunities for women in
the business world.
The non-repayable contribution covers up to 70% of the costs of the projects submitted by the companies, with a maximum of 80,000 euros for each company. Projects must be oriented to economic development and growth, innovation and the creation of new job opportunities

Who is entitled to the contribution?
The contribution of the Made in Rome Women’s Business Call is reserved for:
• Micro and small businesses with predominantly female participation, new or already established, that provide services or produce goods. Included are:
•Cooperative societies and partnerships with at least 60% of female members.
•Capital companies with at least two-thirds of the shares and of the management bodies made up of women.
•Individual businesses run by a woman.
Self-employment activities and companies that have already benefited from the contributions of the previous edition of the call are excluded from the call.
Requirements to participate
Companies must meet the following requirements to access contributions:
• Headquarters in one of the urban areas of Rome defined as “Facilitated Areas” in the announcement.
• Tax and contribution regularity, demonstrated with the DURC.
•Have not committed definitive violations related to the payment of taxes or contributions.
•Compliance with workplace safety regulations, social security obligations and national collective labor agreements.
Financiable projects
Eligible projects must be oriented to:
•Innovation, research and technological development.
•Environmental risk prevention, digital craftsmanship and sustainable manufacturing.
•Services aimed at improving social inclusion, employment and cultural integration.
•Promotion and support of female entrepreneurship, encouraging the start of new businesses and the strengthening of existing ones.
How much is the contribution?
The contribution can cover between 50% and 70% of the total value of the project, with a maximum of 80,000 euros per company. The percentage of contribution depends on the score obtained by the company during the evaluation of the project. The higher the percentage of contribution requested, the lower the score awarded. Therefore, requesting a lower contribution percentage may increase the chances of obtaining funding.
