What is the IO App
The IO App is a free smartphone application that acts as a centralized access point to local and national public services. Thanks to this platform, citizens can receive alerts about deadlines, make payments, manage certificates and much more, all through their phone. The app is connected to the PagoPA system, which allows you to make payments to the Public Administration quickly and securely

Since 2024, the IO App also includes notifications related to illness certificates and medical check-ups for workers, in accordance with the new INPS service.
How the IO App Works
The IO App is only available for mobile devices, so it cannot be used via a browser on a PC or tablet. Once downloaded and installed on your smartphone, it allows you to select the public services of interest and customize the notifications according to your needs. For example, you can receive alerts for

- passport or identity card deadlines,
- payment notices for municipal taxes such as TARI or for the car tax,
- communications about appointments or emergencies, such as Civil Protection alerts.
In addition, the app allows you to associate payment methods such as credit cards or PayPal to make payments to the Public Administration. Each payment is tracked and stored, allowing you to consult the history of transactions

How to Download the IO App
The IO App can be downloaded free of charge from the following digital stores:

To download it, just search for ‘IO’ in the reference store and select ‘Install’ or ‘Download’. Once installed, the app is ready to be configured. Remember that the IO App cannot be used on a computer, but only on mobile devices.
Login and Activate the IO App
To access the IO App, it is necessary to register through SPID (Public Digital Identity System) or using the Electronic Identity Card (CIE). Once registered, the user can access the app via PIN or biometric recognition (fingerprint or face recognition), thus ensuring maximum data security

What is the IO App for
