Harvest Gold Corporation (TSXV: HVG, OTC:HVGDF) has announced the initial assay results from its first drilling campaign at the Mosseau property in the Urban Barry Belt of Quebec’s Abitibi region. This report reveals the discovery of a new mineralized horizon located approximately 100 meters east of the previously identified Trench 1B target, demonstrating the effectiveness of the company’s drilling strategy.
Rick Mark, President and CEO of Harvest Gold, conveyed optimism regarding the initial findings.
He stated, “The identification of a parallel mineralized zone extending over 600 meters confirms our objectives to expand historical showings in the Northern Area. Furthermore, our geological team is particularly encouraged by the semi-massive mineralization that encompasses both precious and base metals. These initial results account for about 20% of our planned drilling.”

Overview of the drilling program
The drilling program has made significant progress, with the completion of the first six holes totaling 994 meters out of a planned 5,000 meters. Overall, the drilling effort has reached 3,030 meters across fourteen holes. Initial results from these six holes indicate promising intersections of gold mineralization.
The most noteworthy intercept was 1.90 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold over a length of 5.4 meters. Notably, within this intercept, a section recorded an impressive 8.67 g/t of gold over 0.6 meters in hole MO-25-15. This zone also showed the presence of semi-massive sulphides, primarily consisting of pyrite and some chalcopyrite, alongside significant values for silver and base metals, underscoring the diverse potential of this area.
Key findings from initial assay results
Recent assay results reveal that the mineralized zone remains open for further exploration. This zone is associated with a moderate Induced Polarization (IP) anomaly that spans over 600 meters along strike. The latest drilling has confirmed the historical potential of the Northern Area of the Mosseau property.
One significant discovery comes from hole SW-25-14, situated 50 meters southeast of MO-25-15. This hole revealed substantial gold mineralization, with assays showing 1.10 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold over 6.0 meters. Notably, a highlighted segment recorded 2.02 g/t over 1.5 meters. These results indicate a strong system of gold mineralization that may extend further with additional drilling efforts.
Future exploration and implications
The drilling activities are currently concentrated in the Central Area of the Mosseau property. This area has revealed several soil geochemical anomalies correlated with airborne magnetic features. These discoveries enhance the understanding of the extent and continuity of gold systems within the Mosseau Project.
Harvest Gold is dedicated to exploring near-surface gold deposits and copper-gold porphyry deposits in stable mining jurisdictions. This strategic focus is evident as the company manages three active gold projects in the Urban Barry area. These projects consist of 377 claims, covering approximately 20,016.87 hectares, situated 45 to 70 kilometers west of Gold Fields Limited’s Windfall Deposit.
Commitment to Indigenous communities
Harvest Gold has acknowledged that the Mosseau Gold Project is situated in territories shared with Indigenous communities. The company is committed to fostering positive and constructive relationships, emphasizing respect and transparency. This approach ensures that local Indigenous perspectives are integrated into its operations.
With a management team that brings over 400 years of combined geological and financing experience, Harvest Gold is well-positioned to leverage the promising results from its drilling initiatives. The company aims to advance its projects in an environmentally responsible and socially conscious manner.
As the drilling program progresses, additional results are expected, which will clarify the Mosseau property’s potential. Initial findings have already established a positive outlook for ongoing exploration and development efforts in this promising mining region.
