sector.
Investments in growth and new technologies
In 2024, investments in the insurtech sector reached 700 million euros, with forecasts of exceeding one billion by the end of the year. Insurance companies continue to be the main investors, representing 73% of the total, followed by banks and brokers. However, it is interesting to note that investments by non-insurance players increased by 80% compared to the previous year, demonstrating the attractiveness of the sector for a variety of companies. Sectors such as telecommunications and health are expanding their offerings by integrating insurance services into their products, thus contributing to market growth

The future of insurtech: AI and embedded insurance
The future of insurtech in Italy promises to be full of opportunities, with artificial intelligence (AI) and embedded insurance playing a crucial role. By 2030, 55% of insurance policies issued are expected to include AI components, improving process efficiency and personalization of services. Embedded insurance, which integrates policies into digital purchasing processes, is revolutionizing insurance distribution, simplifying access to services and expanding market penetration. The IIA is committed to creating a dynamic and inclusive ecosystem, promoting digitalization and sustainability in the
insurance sector.
