Email address on Binance: here’s how to change it

Looking to change your email address on Binance?

On Binance, changing your email address can be tricky.

This is because the setting is difficult to navigate.

In addition, you can only change your Binance email address in the desktop version of the website.

If you use the Binance mobile app, you won’t be able to edit your email.

This is because the Binance app does not currently support editing emails.

As a result, if you want to use your mobile device, you need to visit Binance’s website instead of the app.

If you haven’t created a Binance account yet, start here: https://www.binance.com/en/register?ref=73583477 or use “73583477” as your referral code.

In this guide, you will learn how to change your email address in the desktop version of Binance.

How to change your email address on Binance

To change your email address on Binance, you must first log in to the Binance website and access your security settings.

On the security settings page, you can change your email address by scrolling down to “Email Address” and clicking “Change”.

Then, you need to follow the on-screen instructions to edit the email.

However, you may be required to enable Google or SMS authentication if you haven’t.

If you haven’t enabled Google or SMS authentication, you won’t be able to continue editing your email.

If you are not prompted to do so, it means that you have already enabled one of the authentication methods in the past.

Next, you’ll need to enter a 6-digit security code.

This will be sent to your email or phone number.

After entering the 6-digit code, you can edit your binance email by entering a new email address.

Here’s how you can change your email address on Binance:

1. Log in to Binance and click the profile icon

The first step is to go to binance’s website.

First, open a browser and visit Binance’s website.

You can do this on a desktop or mobile device.

However, it is not possible to do this on the Binance mobile app.

This is because the Binance app does not support changing your email address.

So, if you want to change your email address, you need to use the desktop version of Binance.

If you’re using a mobile device, you can use a browser like Safari or Google Chrome.

Once you are on binance’s website, you need to log in to your account.

Log in to your account if you haven’t already.

Then, click on the profile icon in the top navigation bar.

2. Click on “Security”

After clicking on the profile icon, a navigation menu will open.

In the navigation menu, you will see several tabs like “Security”, “Identification”, “API Management” and more.

The “Security” tab allows you to view and change security settings on Binance.

“Identification” is to verify your identity using your ID card, passport or driver’s license.

Finally, “API Management” is used for creating an API private key.

3. Scroll down to “Email Address” and click “Change”

After clicking on Security, you will land on the security settings page.

On the security settings page, you’ll see a checklist of your account’s security.

Below the checklist, you will see a “2FA” header.

If you’re using a mobile device, scroll down until you find the “Email address” setting.

If you’re using a desktop, you’ll immediately see the “Email address” setting.

This setting allows you to edit your email on Binance.

4. Click on “Next”

After clicking “Change”, you will land on the “Change Email Address” page.

The page contains information on how to edit your email.

The information indicates that you are required to enable Google or SMS authentication (2FA) to edit your email.

If you haven’t enabled one of the authentication methods, you need to do so.

We recommend that you enable SMS authentication (2FA) instead of Google authentication.

To do this, go back to the security settings and enable “SMS Authentication” in “2FA”.

The information also says that the system will decide whether to disable withdrawals for 48 hours after changing your email address.

This means that if you have changed your email, you may not be able to make withdrawals from Binance for 48 hours.

The 48-hour ban is a form of security on Binance, so you can’t avoid it.

Click “Next” to continue with the next step.

5. Enter the 6-digit code

After clicking “Next”, you will land on the “Security Verification” page.

For security reasons, you must complete a security verification to proceed to the next step.

Verification is an “Email Verification Code” field where you need to enter a 6-digit code.

To receive the 6-digit code, click on “Send code”.

Then, check your email for a 6-digit code from Binance and copy it.

If you can’t find the email, be sure to check your junk/spam as well.

This is because the email may have arrived there.

After copying the code, go back to Binance and paste it into the “Email Verification Code” field.

Then, click “Submit” to complete the verification.

6. Change your Binance email address

After completing the email verification, you will land on the “Change email address” page.

On the email address change page, you’ll see three fields including “New Email,” “Confirm New Email,” and “New Password.”

First, enter the new email address you want to change.

Make sure you don’t enter your old email address because you’re not prompted.

Then, enter the new email address again in the “Confirm New Email” field.

The “Confirm new email” field must match the “New email” field.

Then, enter your new password in the “New Password” field.

You can click the eye icon to reveal the password you entered.

Finally, click “Confirm” to change your email address on Binance.

After editing your Binance email, you may be logged out of your account.

You can now log in to your Binance account using your new email.

Conclusion

Sometimes, you may need to change your email address on a platform.

Having too many email addresses will make it difficult for you to stay up to date on your emails.

Also, if you have an old email address that you no longer use, you may lose a lot of emails.

So, if your Binance account uses an old email address, be sure to change it.

This will allow Binance to send you notifications, security codes, and news to your new email address.
