From September, the contribution of the 2024 Card dedicated to you will be disbursed, an important economic support tool aimed at families to buy basic products and goods. INPS, as per the implementing decree, announced that the savings card spent for this year will have a value of 500 euros (last year it was 460 euros) and must be used by February 28, 2025

With a circular, the institute has clarified the accreditation times.
From 24 July, in fact, municipalities will have at their disposal the list of beneficiaries of the Card dedicated to you 2024, so that they can start in September with the disbursements. Among the 2024 news there are more resources available, the requirement for the presence of at least 3 people in the family unit with ISEs under 15,000 euros and the inclusion of new products among those that can be purchased with the social card.

How does the 2024 Card dedicated to you work
The Card dedicated to you is a prepaid electronic payment card intended for families in economic difficulty for the purchase of basic necessities. The 2024 measure presents several new features compared to last year:
- Intended for families with an ISEE not exceeding 15,000 euros, resident in Italy, with at least 3 members in the family unit and who do not receive other contributions for social inclusion or support for poverty.
- Introduction of new categories of purchasable products, such as DOP and PGI products, frozen vegetables, frozen baked goods, tuna and canned meat.
- Additional 15% discount on products purchased at participating stores, given the inflation of recent years.
- Increase of 600 million euros for 2024, confirmed by the 2024 budget law, plus about 50 million unspent euros allocated for last year.
- Card value increased to 500 euros, with an additional 77.20 euros for the 2024 gas bonus.
When does the new 2024 Card dedicated to you arrive
According to the INPS indications of message no. 2575 dated 10-07-2024, the 2024 Spending Savings Card will be recharged by Poste Italiane, after sharing the lists of beneficiaries to municipalities, starting from September 2024. The first payment must be made by December 16, 2024, under penalty of forfeiture of the benefit. The sums must be used no later than February 28, 2025

How to request the 2024 Card dedicated to you
You don’t need to apply online or in other forms to get your savings card. The beneficiaries are identified by the INPS in collaboration with Italian municipalities, which send the communication to those entitled. From 24 July 2024, municipalities will have at their disposal the lists necessary for the issuance of the 2024 savings card. The beneficiaries, after receiving the communication via text message, must go to an Italian Post office bringing with them the documents and forms essential to collect the prepaid and already active Postepay electronic shopping card
.
The social card can therefore be used immediately to make purchases at stores affiliated with the savings card that sell groceries.
Who is entitled to the 2024 shopping card
The 2024 savings card is aimed at families with an ISEE equal to or less than 15,000 euros, with at least 3 members (which is new compared to last year), resident in Italian municipalities.
In particular, families must meet the following requirements:
- residence in Italy of all members of the family unit;
- there must be at least 3 people in the family unit;
- Isee less than 15,000 euros per year;
- absence of other social inclusion contributions or support for poverty.
Some families, let’s clarify, will be excluded a priori due to the incompatibility of the savings card spent with other measures to support income or poverty.
In particular, the contribution of the solidarity card for purchases of basic necessities does not belong to families that are the owners of:
- inclusion check;
- any other measure of social inclusion or support for poverty.
Furthermore, families in which at least one member is a recipient of:
- tasseles;
- dis-coll;
- mobility allowance;
- solidarity funds for income integration;
- redundancy fund — CIG;
- any different form of wage integration, or support in the case of involuntary unemployment, provided by the state.
Attention, not all families that meet the requirements indicated above are automatically beneficiaries of the savings card since the funds for each municipality are limited.
The INPS has established a precise order of priority on the basis of which the ranking is drawn up with the list of the beneficiaries of the savings card. The details valid in 2024 are explained by INPS in the INPS message n. 2575 of 10-07-2024. The 2024 audience is about 1.3 million people.
