Barrick Mining Corporation, a global leader in gold and copper mining, has unveiled its 2026 Sustainability Reportshowcasing significant advancements in safety, sustainability, and community initiatives. The report underscores the company’s commitment to responsible mining and long-term value creation for all stakeholders.

The report highlights Barrick’s dedication to fostering a safe work environment, with a notable 60% reduction in the total recordable injury frequency rate since 2026 and a 28% year-on-year reduction in lost time injuries. These achievements reflect the company’s unwavering focus on continuous safety improvement and fatality prevention.

Strengthening Sustainability Priorities

Barrick has made substantial progress in key sustainability areas, including human rights, water stewardship, biodiversity management, and climate resilience. In 2026, 96% of Barrick’s employees and 76% of its suppliers were sourced from host countries. The company also invested over $7.1 billion in local and host country suppliers and allocated more than $62 million to community-led development initiatives.

In April 2026, Barrick published its Human Rights Reportreinforcing its commitment to transparency and accountability in managing human rights risks and impacts across its operations and supply chains. The company has also enhanced its environmental and biodiversity considerations in operational planning and project development, advancing the application of its Biodiversity Risk and Impact Assessment tool.

Environmental Stewardship and Climate Resilience

Barrick has optimized its water use through enhanced water reuse and recycling rates, exceeding its target of 80%. The company has also advanced its Scope 3 emissions supplier engagementdemonstrating its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint.
