2FA on Crypto.com: here’s how to set it up step by step

To configure 2FA (2-factor authentication) on Crypto.com, you must go to the settings, enable 2FA, and copy the authentication key.

After copying the authentication key, you need to paste it into the Google Authenticator app.

Finally, copy the code to the Google Authenticator app and paste it to the Crypto.com to enable 2FA.

Now you will see an option “Enable 2FA”.

Tap the switch to enable 2FA.

4. Copy the authentication key

After tapping the switch, you will land on the “Setting up 2-factor authentication (2FA)” page.

The page contains instructions on how to set up 2FA.

This includes installing Google Authenticator and copying the authentication key.

To get started, tap the duplicate icon to copy the authentication key.

You need the authentication key to add Crypto.com to Google Authenticator later.

5. Download Google Authenticator on App Store / Google Play Store

After copying the authentication key, you need to download Google Authenticator.

You can download Google Authenticator from the App Store and Google Play Store.

Then, open the Google Authenticator app.

6. Open Google Authenticator and tap the “+” icon

After opening Google Authenticator, you need to add Crypto.com.

This way, you will be able to get verification codes from Crypto.com on Google Authenticator.

To get started, tap the “+” icon to start adding a new account.

7. Tap “Enter a configuration key”

After tapping on the “+” icon, you will be given a couple of options.

This includes “Scan a QR code” and “Enter a configuration key”.

Tap “Enter a configuration key” to start adding Crypto.com using an authentication key.

8. Enter your account details

After tapping on “Enter a configuration key”, you will land on the “Enter account details” page.

9. Copy the verification code

After tapping “Add”, Crypto.com will be added to Google Authenticator.

You will now be able to receive Crypto.com verification codes on Google Authenticator.

First, you need to copy the verification code Crypto.com.

Tap the Crypto.com verification code to copy it.

10. Go back to Crypto.com and tap “Proceed to Verification”

After copying the Crypto.com verification code, you need to verify it on the Crypto.com.

First, go back to the Crypto.com app.

Once you’re on Crypto.com, tap on “Proceed to Verification.”

11. Paste the verification code and enable 2FA

After tapping “Proceed to Verification”, you will be prompted to enter a 6-digit verification code.

You need to copy this code from the Google Authenticator app (via step #9).

Paste the 6-digit verification code from Google Authenticator into the field.

Finally, tap on “Enable 2FA” to enable 2-factor authentication on Crypto.com.

12. 2FA is enabled correctly

After entering the 6-digit verification code from Google Authenticator and tapping “Enable 2FA”, 2FA will be enabled.

Now, you are required to complete the 2-factor authentication process every time you transact on Crypto.com.

This includes sending or withdrawing crypto/fiat.

You’ll also need to complete the process whenever you’re authorizing wallet addresses or managing bank accounts.
